In 2016, we collaborated with Porter & Woodman to enhance their e-commerce operations by migrating several of their online stores, including woodenboxuk.com, back from multiple providers onto a unified platform utilizing Umbraco and Ucommerce. This strategic move also encompassed their other sites, chalkboardsuk.co.uk and wineandhampergifts.co.uk, consolidating their digital presence for improved management and scalability.
The migration to Umbraco/Ucommerce provided Porter & Woodman with a more flexible and user-friendly content management system compared to their previous custom-built CMS. This transition empowered the client to independently manage their entire product catalog through an intuitive administrative interface, streamlining operations and reducing reliance on external support for routine updates.
Additionally, by leveraging the existing functionalities of the Umbraco/Ucommerce platform, Porter & Woodman benefited from features such as automated review emails, abandoned basket recovery, and advanced search and filtering options. These enhancements contributed to increased customer engagement and improved conversion rates.
