SGOS: A Classic 2003 Website Built with HTML, CSS & DreamWeaver
In 2003, we designed and developed a website for S.Go.S Couriers, a company specializing in high-quality same day courier services. Built using HTML, CSS, and DreamWeaver, this was a clean and efficient static website, providing a professional online presence at a time when many businesses were just beginning to establish themselves on the web.
A Sleek & Functional Design
Our focus was on creating a well-structured, visually appealing, and easy-to-navigate website that would clearly communicate S.Go.S’s offerings. The site featured a simple yet effective layout, ensuring that visitors could quickly access product information, company details, and contact options. By leveraging CSS for styling, we were able to maintain a lightweight yet modern look that stood out in an era of clunky, table-based designs.
Optimized for Search & Performance
At a time when search engine optimisation (SEO) was still in its infancy, we took steps to ensure the site was well-structured and easy for search engines to crawl. Clean HTML coding and thoughtful keyword placement helped improve visibility and reach within search results.
Longevity & Impact
The website served S.Go.S well for many years, demonstrating the lasting power of well-structured static websites. Although web technologies have advanced significantly since then, this project was an excellent example of how a well-built and thoughtfully designed site could provide a strong digital foundation for a growing business.
We found our site great value for money. Not having a large development budget we felt we would be unable to achieve the web presence we felt was required however, they were very helpful in offering a solution to our budget constraints.
