We work closely with Brightwells auctioneers running their web presence but they approached us with a homepage dilemma that was harder to juggle than a bidding war at a packed auction. Taking a cue from e-commerce hero banners and the latest web design trends, we hammered the gavel on an innovative solution: a composite hero banner. This versatile feature combines spaces of varying sizes, offering the flexibility to prioritise departments differently depending on what’s hot off the block. By leveraging the power of Umbraco CMS, Brightwells can now adjust the banner layout with ease, ensuring their homepage always reflects their business priorities.
To keep things ticking along, we also introduced a sleek calendar of events which automatically balanced the dominance of any department over another in the list of upcoming sales. This new addition provides a quick, intuitive way for visitors to browse upcoming sales without wading through endless pages. Whether it’s rare wine, vintage cars, or fine art, the right auction is now just a click away.
With this redesign, we’ve brought the best of both worlds: a dynamic and adaptable homepage that’s as polished as a prized antique and as practical as a trusty auctioneer’s hammer. Brightwells now has a homepage as vibrant and versatile as their sales roster, ready to impress bidders and browsers alike.
