In collaboration with the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association (VHDA), we developed bevancouver.com, an initiative aimed at boosting tourism in Vancouver and its surrounding areas. The project involved integrating several third-party platforms to create a seamless and engaging user experience.
Key integrations included:
- Mobius: A custom booking platform that facilitated hotel reservations, ensuring users had access to the best available rates and packages.
- Bunchball: A gamification platform that enhanced user engagement through interactive elements and reward systems.
- Campaign Monitor: An email marketing tool used to manage a substantial distribution list, reaching hundreds of thousands of subscribers with targeted promotional content.
The website was built on the Umbraco Content Management System (CMS), allowing the VHDA team to easily update promotions and content. Hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), we established the necessary infrastructure to handle significant traffic volumes, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
This project exemplified successful international collaboration, with our UK-based team working closely with Canadian counterparts to deliver a platform that effectively promoted Vancouver's hospitality industry.
